FACT: Tea Tree Oil is more than 10 times stronger than carbolic, which in earlier generations was the first choice for preventing infection.
Distilled from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia plant in Australia, it is also anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal making it ideal for treating a variety of conditions from athlete's foot to spots, cuts, insect bites and even head lice... our first aid kit in a bottle.
The outbreak of coronavirus has reminded us all of the importance of good hand hygiene to prevent infection and keep germs at bay, be it food poisoning or flu. Here at B-Line we are big fans of Tea Tree Oil, a powerful natural antiseptic with anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Combined with Essential Oil of Lavender, it creates our signature formulation at the heart of our product range.
The benefits of these two essential oils have been known for hundreds of years, often used as a safe, effective and versatile home remedy. Tea Tree is an active and powerful antiseptic complemented by Lavender’s analgesic and anti-bacterial properties in this one bottle. It can be used directly onto the skin for cuts, abrasions, spots and insect bites or as a hand sanitizer when out and about.
Features and Benefits
MAKING YOUR OWN HAND SANITIZER:
Social media is buzzing with suggestions for making your own hand sanitizer using these essential oils as stores begin to run out of stock; some are limiting sales to one or two per person. Our Tea Tree Oil with Lavender can be used on it's own to cleanse door handles, keyboards and any hard surface where multi-user contamination may linger. This essential oil combo has the added benefit of a lovely fragrance.

Remember, the NHS advises thorough and frequent washing for 20 seconds with soap and water as the best form of defence, but this DIY alternative could be handy (forgive the pun!) when that isn't practical. Let us know how you get on!
