Feeling stressed... struggling to sleep?

4 October 2020

FEELING stressed or anxious can impact sleep patterns in many ways, in extreme cases leading to insomnia which in turn can cause more serious problems such as low mood, impaired judgement and lowered immune system.

B-Line's 'Hug-in-a-Box' is an indulgent three-step routine designed to calm the mind and relax the body. The overall effect is to relieve stress and so aid restful sleep, essential to maintaining mental and physical wellbeing.

The box contains Anti-Stress Spa Bath, Anti-Stress Relaxation Oil and Sleep Treat, a pillow spray containing four premium 100% natural essential oils: Rose, Geranium, Lavender and Neroli. Bringing together these three complementary products into one concept enhances the benefits of each thanks to a combination of essential oils and plant extracts renowned for their therapeutic properties.

Step 1: Relaxing in a warm bath has long been a simple way to 'shut out the noise' and enjoy some #metime. Adding B-Line's Anti-Stress Bath will help relieve tension and ease tired, aching muscles. Pat dry.

Step 2: Massage B-Line Anti-Stress Oil into still-warm slightly damp skin with special attention to the shoulders where stress can often accumulate. Massage triggers the release of serotonin to encourage restorative sleep, so you are more likely to awake feeling refreshed.

Step 3: Finish with a spritz of Sleep Treat on or around the pillow a few minutes before bed and allow yourself to drift off into a 'cocoon of peace and calm'.

We agree totally with Sleep Research Society findings that quality of sleep is just as important as getting sufficient sleep. Hug-in-a-Box came about partly in response to customers telling us how worried and stressed they were during the COVID-19 lockdown. Some were finding it difficult to sleep, tossing and turning until the early hours, while others said they awoke feeling exhausted.

With International Stress Awareness Week (Nov 2-6) just around the corner we offer this as our solution to a growing problem... sweet dreams!"  For maximum benefit, we suggest following this routine at least three times a week, at the same time every night, to help mind and body get into good habits. The bedroom should be dark and cool, and mobile phone and any other device switched off as 'blue light' can interfere with sleep.

Give yourself a B-Line hug and let me know how you get on... Annette x
