"International Flip Flop Day"

17 June 2015

                                                         Flipping and Flopping For Charity

I did not realise that every third Friday in June is "National Flip Flop Day" it is used by many charities worldwide to raise funds. One of the charities  involved is "The Gandhi Foundation" a registered charity for orphans.

The Flip Flop was probably first worn by ancient egyptians as a simple form of foot covering. These days most people own at least one pair of flip flops, the most expensive being designed and made by "Chipkos.com" an American company. These specialst flip flops are hand painted by Artist David Palmer and adorned with 18 carat ,solid gold emblems.
